Liverpool Nightlife: The Best Places to Party in Liverpool
When British people talk about the best night out in the United Kingdom, they often mention Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, and London. However, The City of Liverpool is one city people always mention.
As one of Britain’s most diverse, largest, and culturally significant cities, Liverpool has a fantastic nightlife and is one of Britain’s most prominent student communities. Liverpool has been a famous night-out since the post-war era when The Beatles headlined the Cavern Club 300 times in the early 1960s.
And, better still, Liverpool is one of Britain’s most affordable night-outs. You can visit London, one of the world’s greatest party cities, but you’ll spend far more money than in Liverpool.
Here are some of the best nightlife options in Liverpool, England:
1. The Cavern Club
It would be hard to start without mentioning the Cavern Club (Liverpool’s most historic and iconic club). During the 50s and 60s, the Cavern Club played an integral role in the development of British rock and roll music.
And, most significantly, it was where John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison—the founding members of The Beatles—began mastering their craft. Ringo Starr, the band’s drummer from 1963 onwards, was yet to join the band.
Today, the Cavern Club is open daily from 11 am with live music starting from 11.15 am. You’ll enjoy various excellent bands playing iconic British rock music—including The Beatles (no shock), Oasis, Led Zeppelin, and more. It’s a great place to start drinking, enjoy live music, and prepare for a night in Liverpool’s clubs. Also, if you’re a Beatles fan, it’s unmissable.

2. Heebie Jeebies
If you ask the students of Liverpool where they spend much of their student years, they’ll say Heebie Jeebies. Notorious for its nooks and crannies, Heebie Jeebies is probably the most famous nightclub in Liverpool and where thousands of people end up dancing the night away to various music genres.
The nightclub is in one of Seal Street’s award-winning Georgian buildings. Initially, it was a residence for shipping merchants, but it opened as a jazz club in the 1990s. International and local DJs still flock to Heebie Jeebies every weekend.
Heebie Jeebies is home to Liverpool’s most iconic indie night called ‘Liquidation’. You can enjoy this night in the basement every Saturday night. If you want a few quiet drinks, Heebie Jeebies is relatively calm and a great place to relax until the later hours when the real party begins.
