Travel documents
While global travel can be full of surprises and unknowns, your experience at the airport shouldn't be. Be a prepared and confident globetrotter and go over this checklist to ensure a comfortable journey through the world's airports and immigration checkpoints.
- Carry all necessary travel documents as required by the destination country with regard to your country of origin. Travel documents include visas, ESTAs, vaccination records, etc.
- Carry a passport valid for at least 90 days beyond your travel period.
- Many countries require proof of a return journey and a first destination address so be sure to carry this information with you.
It is the responsibility of the traveler to gather information about and obtain required travel documents, visas and travel authorizations (as applicable) needed for entry into the destination country.
Please be aware that if the traveler has a connecting flight with another airline, they need to ensure that all necessary travel documents are in order for their final destination with PLAY.
All passengers require a valid passport or travel document to check in for our flights. This includes adults, children, and infants.

Traveling through Keflavík Airport in Iceland
Iceland is part of the Schengen agreement. Passengers traveling to Iceland or through Keflavik Airport in Iceland that do not hold a passport from a Schengen Member State might need an airport transit visa or Schengen visa to enter Iceland. Keep in mind that if you're traveling onward with another airline you will have to pick up your baggage and check in again with the other airline. That means that you will have to leave the transit area.

Citizens of the United States with a valid U.S. Tourist passport (blue passport) can travel within the Schengen Area for a maximum of 90 days without having to apply or obtain a Schengen visa for short-term tourism or a business trip. Read more hereLink opens in a new tab.
Traveling within Schengen
Travelers within the Schengen Area are allowed to travel with PLAY inside Schengen by presenting government-issued identification other than a passport. E.g., for Icelandic residents, PLAY approves an Icelandic driver's license issued by the Icelandic government since it has a photo ID with name for verification.
Travel between Nordic countries
Travelers with Nordic citizenship are allowed to travel with PLAY between Nordic countries by presenting government-issued identification other than a passport. This only applies to travels of Nordic citizens between Nordic countries. This decision is made in accordance with the Nordic agreement on passport-free travel and will only affect Nordic citizens and their travels with PLAY between Iceland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway as of July 26, 2021.
Traveling to the United Kingdom
The UK requires all passengers to send additional personal information before traveling there, API (Advanced Passenger Information). You can fill the required information out through MyPLAY or during online check-in. It is really easy and should only take a few minutes.
When arriving in the UK your passport will be checked upon arrival. It must be valid for the duration of your stay. A valid visa might also be required before entering the country, depending on your nationality and purpose of stay.

Traveling to the United States
Citizens of certain countries can travel to the United States without a visa under the Visa Waiver Program. To be able to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program, travelers need to apply for an Electronic System Travel Authorisation (ESTA). ESTA applications must be submitted at least 72 hours prior to departure to the USA. Please note that without a visa or ESTA approval, travelers are at risk of being denied boarding. Many countries require proof of a return journey and a first destination address so be sure to carry this information with you.

Traveling to Canada
All visa-exempt passengers, and select visa-required passengers, that travel to Canada must submit their Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) application no later than 72 hours prior to departure of their flight and present proof of authorization before boarding a flight to Canada. Advanced Passenger Information (APIS)
The UK, US and Canada requires all passengers to send additional personal information before traveling there, API (Advanced Passenger Information). You can fill out the required information through MyPLAY or during online check in. It is really easy and should only take a few minutes.
Traveling to Marrakech
Passengers traveling to or from Marrakech must carry a valid passport, as a government-issued identification or driver's license is not sufficient for travel. You can complete the form at the top of this page to verify the specific travel requirements for your trip.
