Which items are prohibited onboard?

You can transport a drone in checked baggage if the battery type does not exceed 160 watts.

The batteries must be removed from the drone and stored in your hand luggage. It cannot be stored in your checked baggage.

You can only carry one extra battery.

The drone must be switched off for the duration of the flight.

You are not allowed to transport hoverboards, neither in carry-on nor in your checked baggage.

You are allowed to carry both electronic and regular cigarettes in carry-on baggage but please note that usage of either one is strictly forbidden.

Electronic cigarettes may not be carried in checked baggage.

You are allowed to travel with guns and ammunition for hunting and sports - for personal use only.

Please note that you are required to travel with your gun license and all other official documentation that may be required in your destination country.

If documentation or permits are insufficient upon arrival, you are responsible for any fines or other expenses that may incur.

How to pack:

• The weapons and ammunition may only be transported in the hold of the aircraft and should be booked as special baggage.
• The gun should be dismantled.
• Ammunition needs to be packed separately.

The following items are strictly prohibited in checked baggage but accepted in a carry-on with restrictions, see below:

Lithium batteries:

1. Spare loose lithium batteries exceeding 100 Wh but not exceeding 160 Wh. Maximum two per passenger (carry-on only).

Lithium batteries for mobility devices (excluding hoverboards, see list above):

1.      One lithium battery, max 300 Wh (carry-on only) or

2.      Two lithium batteries, max. 160 Wh each (carry-on only)

These can be checked if the fuel tank of the camping stove and/or fuel container has been completely drained of all liquid fuel and actions have been taken to nullify the danger.

The camping stove and fuel container are ​prohibited​ in carry-on baggage.

It is allowed in checked baggage ​only if​ the empty fuel container is drained, and then left uncapped for a minimum of 6 hours and is completely dry.

Avalanche Rescue Backpacks are considered dangerous goods because of the compressed gas they contain.

They can be carried both in carry-on baggage and checked baggage - only one bag per guest containing compressed gas 200g or less.

The gas capsule needs to be unplugged from the backpack and have a pressure relief valve. The backpack should be packed in a way where it can withstand normal baggage handling and cannot be accidentally activated. The airbags within the backpacks must be fitted with pressure relief valves.

The following items may only be carried in checked baggage, not carry-on baggage.

• crowbars
• drills and drill bits, including cordless portable power drills
• tools with a blade or a shaft of more than 6 cm capable of use as a weapon, such as screwdrivers and chisels
• saws, including cordless portable power saws
• blowtorches
• bolt guns and nail guns

Items designed for choppings, such as axes, hatchets, and cleavers   •  ice axes and ice picks,   •  razor blades,   •  box cutters,   •  knives with blades of more than 6 cm   •  scissors with blades of more than 6 cm as measured from the fulcrum,   •  martial arts equipment with a sharp point or sharp edge,   •  swords, swordsticks and sabers,   •  ski and walking/hiking pole and crampons,   •  ice skates,   •  arrows, darts, harpoons, machetes and spears.

Carry-on

The lithium battery/power bank can remain in the bag but you must be able to disconnect it. We cannot accept smart baggage if the lithium battery/power bank cannot be disconnected and removed by the passenger.

Checked baggage

You must be able to disconnect the lithium battery/power bank, remove it from the baggage and keep it with you in carry-on baggage. We cannot accept smart baggage if the lithium battery/power bank cannot be disconnected and removed by the passenger.
